Grateful for having shared her life are her two sons, Jerry Zeeb, Tea, SD and David Zeeb, Guernsey, WY three grandsons, Aaron (Lucy Crow) Zeeb, Olympia, WA, Ben Zeeb, Sioux Falls, SD and Alexander Zeeb, Sioux Falls, SD one great-granddaughter, Aaliyah Zeeb two sisters, Edna Brake, Pittsburgh, PA and Linda Denke, Ft. Above all, Laverna cherished the time spent with her family. She enjoyed reading, cooking, sewing, quilting, and tending to her flower/vegetable garden. Laverna loved to travel the world with her sister, Linda, taking countless cruises and adventures, including bungee jumping in New Zealand at the age of 72. She was a faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church.

She worked for many years as a Home Health Aide in the Midwestern Home Health Services before opening and operating her own home health business in 2001 where she cared for elder adults until her retirement in 2018. Laverna’s warm, selfless, hard-working and caring nature led to her career in health care. Laverna made her home in Sioux Falls, SD in 1986. The couple lived in California for a few years before returning to South Dakota living near Menno and were blessed with two sons, Jerry and David. Laverna was united in marriage with Ronnie Zeeb on Novemin Mitchell, SD. She was raised on a farm near Tripp and Kaylor, SD. Laverna was born on June 18, 1926, near Tripp, SD to John and Emma (Ensminger) Friederich. A memorial service celebrating her life will be held on Wednesday, Septemat George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls with the family greeting friends beginning at 1:00 PM followed by her service at 2:00 PM. Zeeb, age 96, died on Friday, Septemat Good Samaritan Village in Sioux Falls, SD.
